Veritas Increases Cloud Awards in a Partner Program Update

The partner program at Veritas Technologies has been updated, and there are now better incentives for business involving the cloud.

The creator of data protection technology announced that it will now provide upgraded certification and training programs, as well as "supercharged" incentives for cloud - based transactions.

A cloud-based data management system called Veritas Alta, which was introduced last year, is one of these.

The modifications, according to Mike Walkey, Veritas' senior VP of global channel sales, were made to address the strain partners are under.

According to him, it is their responsibility to make business with their partners as simple as possible. As a result, they are able to concentrate on doing what they do best, which is providing outstanding client service. Because of this, they are concentrating on streamlining their procedures, rewarding customers, and setting reasonable prices while also providing more partner enablement benefits and flexible partner development funds this year.

Veritas has simplified the selling process by reorganizing its compensation scheme into a single all-encompassing objective for new business and extensions, as well as appliances, software and services.

According to the vendor, this will make it simpler for partners to concentrate on their strong points and satisfy their tiering needs.

Partners who help clients expand their usage of the Veritas system to new workload and use cases may also be eligible for further rewards.

Additionally, the vendor stated that in order to bring in net new clients, it will collaborate with partners on demand-side initiatives. For participating in the marketing effort and bringing in new clients, partners will be eligible for expedited benefits.

According to the managing director at Veritas New Zealand and Australia , Pete Murray, the company is continuing to grow its business in New Zealand and Australia solely through its channel partners, and the improvements to the Veritas Partner Force system herald an exciting new stage in our partner-centric model.

The upgrades will make it possible for us to support our partners more effectively in creating demand, adding value for their clients, and streamlining the engagement process—all of which are essential in this climate of rising complexity across several clouds.

Veritas chose Dicker Data to handle its distribution needs in the Australian market last year, ending its partnership with Tech Data in the process.

This action follows a similar choice made by Veritas in New Zealand, where Murray claimed the company enjoyed strong double-digit growth and saw prospects from duplicating this strategy in Australia. Veritas chose a single-distributor strategy with Westcon-Comstor in that country, and Murray claimed the company achieved similar success there.
